Violence erupts in Kashmir; 2 protesters killed
Two protesters were killed and more than 50 injured in the Valley after violence broke out in various districts, marking one the worst days of street violence in the State.
Two youths — one in Kulgam and the other in Anantnag — were killed in the violent clashes. At least five police stations and posts were set on fire in south Kashmir.
Reports from Pulwama district’s Tral, hometown of Wani, suggest that the militant commander will be buried after 4 p.m. on Saturday.
Amarnath Yatra was suspended as a precautionary measure.
